A Sneak Peek at Upcoming Onyx Features

Onyx 3.0 Beta

Onyx 3 New Features

Onyx 3.0 is now available! Onyx 3 is a great leap forward from Onyx 2, with many new features and a whole series of fun new ways to customize the action to meet your own sexual taste for adventure.

The first changes you'll see in Onyx start with the way you enter information about yourself. Onyx 3 offers a host of new options to tailor the game to your own interests and tastes.

Onyx 3 allows roles, which tell Onyx what kinds of actions a player is willing to participate in. Onyx 3 also allows a player to choose whether or not he or she will engage in any actions that lead to orgasm.

Onyx 3 allows a player to choose a new sexual orientation, Bi-curious. A bi-curious player is a player who is willing to engage in limited activity with a partner of the same sex, but does not feel comfortable engaging in full sexual contact with a partner of the same sex.

Players in Onyx 3 may choose their game board token, and more options will be available in the final version. Players may also save and load their profiles, so they do not have to re-enter this information each time they play.

And speaking of the game board, Onyx 3 now has a redesigned, much larger game board. (Click on the thumbnail below to see the game board full size.)

The game board offers many new features, including property squares with borders that change to the player's color when a player buys them, yellow stripes to show that a property has been mortgaged, buttons to change a player's information and roles, and new graphics.

The card deck files for Onyx 3 are much smarter. Each card deck has a list of props, which are items that the actions may use; when the game starts, Onyx will show you a list of the props being used in the cards, and allow you to check the ones you have. Onyx will not draw cards that require props you don't have.

Other new features in Onyx 3 include:

  • A redesigned user interface
  • Redesigned, larger card windows which show more information
  • The ability to write cards which are much longer; Onyx 2 cards are limited to no more than a hundred words or so.
  • A new card deck file format that is much smaller and more efficient

...and many other fun new features.
